Device Layout Adjustments

The components in a dashboard can be arranged for different device types. There is also a possibility to hide some components. When a dashboard is opened in design mode four device type tools are shown in the top of the design surface.

Arranging Components

This is an example of a component in design mode on a dashboard.

Symbols on a component on a dashboard

  • To hide the component for the specific device type, click on the eye symbol Eye symbol in the top right corner. A faded component with a crossed out eye symbol Crossed out eye symbol indicates that the component is hidden.

  • The symbol Fit to space symbol is visible if the display component is designed as an Absolute presentation type in contrast to the Flex type. The symbol indicates that the components size is adjusted to fit the space of the widget. Click on the symbol to make the component change to its original size. The symbol will then be changed to Maximize component symbol.

  • A component can be positioned by dragging it to a desired place.

  • To change the size of a component use the handle Handle for resizing a component in the bottom right corner of the component.
