Data Rows Limitations
This section outlines the data fetching rows limitations for the MOPS 4.0 Excel Add-In in different Excel environments. These limits are based on Excel’s specifications and system constraints to ensure optimal performance and prevent errors.
Excel Desktop Application
The maximum number of rows for single tags data that can be fetched is 1,048,576 (1,048,575 if a header is included), which is Excel’s built-in limit.
Ref: Excel specifications and limits - Microsoft Support

If you want to add multiple single tags, you can divide the maximum limit and enter the value in the appropriate number field to fetch data.

If cross-tabular is enabled in history, you may need to input a resolution; otherwise, the sheet might encounter a Spill error due to the number of rows exceeding the limit.

The maximum number of rows for profile tags that can be fetched may be limited by server system performance and available memory.

Note: We verified these limits on a system with 32 GB RAM and an Intel Core i7 14th generation processor, running Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2510 Build 16.0.19328.20244) 64-bit. Keep in mind that the actual number of rows you can fetch might vary depending on your system’s specifications.
Excel Web Application
The safe limit for the web app is 23,000 rows.

For a profile tag, 4,100 ± 100 rows of data can be fetched and displayed (exceeding this causes the browser to run out of memory).

For 2 profile tags, 500 ± 100 rows of each tag can be fetched and displayed (exceeding this causes the browser to run out of memory).

Note: This limit was verified on a system with 32 GB RAM and Intel Core i7 14th generation processor. The maximum number of rows that can be fetched may vary based on your system’s specifications.
Excel Web Application on Mac
The safe limit for Excel web application on Mac is approximately 12,000 rows.
Note: We verified this limit on a system with 8GB unified memory and an Apple M2 Chip (8-Core CPU). The actual number of rows you can fetch might vary based on your system’s specifications.
