Open the MOPS 4.0 Excel Add-In

MOPS 4.0 Excel Add-In can be found as its own tab in the ribbon menu of Excel and it has a button called Open. This will open a task pane, as shown in the images below, with the MOPS 4.0 Excel Add-In together with three different tabs to insert Snapshot or History data or Browse to browse for tag names to insert into the spreadsheet.

The MOPS 4.0 Excel Add-In can run in both desktop and web version of Excel as shown in the images below.

Search Tags

Searching for tags can be done in all tabs and is done by clicking on the inside of a or next to a Tag field. Clicking on this will open the MOPS 4.0 Tag Finder.

If you have been using the MOPS 4.0 application, this dialog should be familiar.

Search for tags and select them and click Add.

This will the populate the field(s) with the selected tags.

Bind data from cells

Data cell binding is done by clicking on button. This will open a Select Data dialog to select the cells to bind data from.

The approach is different depending if it is the web version or the desktop version of the Excel application.

In the web version the user needs to select the cells before clicking on the button.

In the desktop version the selection is done when the dialog has opened.

Add Formula

Formulas can be inserted from both Snapshot and History, but they can also be found by clicking the fx button next to the formula bar to open the Insert Function dialog.

In the category list, select MOPS 4.0.

This will show three different formulas that can be inserted.

On desktop version of Excel.

On web version of Excel.

Select a formula and click next to complete the form and fill in all the fields to insert the formula.
