User Profile Settings
Each user have access to a user profile settings page where you can change configuration that affect how the application looks and behaves.
Accessing User Profile Settings
You can access the user profile settings by clicking on your user name in the top right corner of the screen and selecting the “Profile Settings” option from the drop-down menu. This will open the user profile settings page where you can change your settings.
Available Settings
The user profile settings page allows you to change the following settings:
Profile Picture
NOTE: This feature is not available in the current version of MOPS 4.0, but will be added in a future release.
You can upload a profile picture that will be displayed in the user menu and in other places where your user name is shown. The profile picture should be a square image with a maximum size of 256x256 pixels. You can upload a new profile picture by clicking on the “UPLOAD” button and selecting an image file from your computer.
User Information
You can change your user information, such as your name and email address. The information you enter here will be used to identify you in the system and will be displayed in the user menu and in other places where your user name is shown.
- Name: Your full name as you want it to be displayed in the system.
- Email: Your email address. This is used for authentication purposes. The e-mail address for receiving CMS notifications from the system is given as a separate setting in the Notification scope.
Designer
Here you can change the designer settings. The number of settings is limited in the current version of MOPS 4.0, but will be expanded in future releases.
- Default Grid Size: The default grid size for the designer. This is used to set the grid size for new displays and components that you create.
Directory Explorer
You can change the settings for the Directory Explorer, which is the left side panel in the main application view.
- Show Directory Explorer on load: This setting allows you to control whether the Directory Explorer is shown when the application is loaded. If this setting is enabled, the Directory Explorer will be shown by default when you open the application. If it is disabled, the Directory Explorer will be hidden by default and you can show it by clicking on the button in the top banner.
Notification
You can change the settings for notifications, which are used to notify you about important events in the system.
- E-mail Address: This setting allows you to specify the email address where you want to receive notifications from the system. This is separate from the email address used for authentication and is used specifically for receiving notifications.
- Phone Number: This setting allows you to specify a phone number where you can receive SMS notifications from the system. This is useful for receiving notifications of higher priority when you are not monitoring your e-mails.
Point Trend
You can change the settings for point trends, which are used to display trends of tag data in the system.
- Default Period: This setting allows you to specify the default period for point trends. The period is used to determine how much historical data is displayed in the trend.
- Default Resolution: This setting allows you to specify the default resolution for point trends. The resolution is used to determine the data aggregation period for the data being presented.
Trend
You can change the settings for trends, which are used to display trends of tag data in the system. These settings are similar to the point trend settings, but are used for trends that are created manually and not using the point trend feature.
- Default Period: This setting allows you to specify the default period for point trends. The period is used to determine how much historical data is displayed in the trend.
- Default Resolution: This setting allows you to specify the default resolution for point trends. The resolution is used to determine the data aggregation period for the data being presented.
Shell
In this Shell scope you can change the settings for the shell, which is the main application view.
- Language: This setting allows you to change the language of the user interface. The available languages are determined by the set of languages made available during system delivery.
- Theme: This setting allows you to change the theme of the user interface.
